Team Marathon: Together, the impossible becomes possible!

Many people often start a race, but who ever reaches the finish line? Taking a wrong turn here, trying to find a shortcut there, or simply estimating the route to be significantly shorter. We've all probably experienced this, right?

Last weekend, two of our team members experienced once again that many of life's challenges seem a lot easier when you simply start together. They did so at the 2023 Cologne Marathon, a race through beautiful Cologne, with the cathedral as the finish line. A 42.195-kilometer race, a "breezy" 27-degree high, and 22,000 other runners around them – Kathrin and Paul both crossed the finish line that day with fantastic times under 5 hours. And they were marathon newbies!

But let's just say that at Revive, decisions are often made on the spur of the moment based on gut feeling, which everyone involved might find a little too big a day later ;) But as a team, we've always managed to get even the most chaotic ideas rolling. And we're not stopping at the 42.195-kilometer marathon course!

The idea for the Revive Marathon was spontaneously conceived by our buyer Lukas and founder Paul in the hallway just four months before the start. Unfortunately, Lukas couldn't be there on the day of the event due to the coronavirus, but he actively participated in the four-day-a-week training sessions. All three runners motivated each other via an app, creating their own unique preparation routines.

We are certainly very proud of the more than successful Revive finishes and remember once again: Together we are more and change can be quite simple!

"My best marathon memory ? How the crowd carried you! Complete strangers cheering you on and calling your name—an incredible feeling . But also making it to the finish line. I wasn't even remotely a fan of running before. But as part of the team, I rose to the challenge , trained hard, and pushed through. The next race is already planned!"
