What our favorite furniture reveals about us

Who we are at our core is sometimes revealed by our apparent external appearances.

Our home, for example, is ultimately a part of us ! We would never give up some of our furniture, and we only feel complete once they accompany us in our daily lives. Ultimately, though, we don't even have to own this furniture—just being fascinated by a particular model is enough to help us understand ourselves a little better.

A fact that Hollywood also likes to exploit! Characters are often defined by their surroundings: Blofeld , the legendary James Bond villain, sits enthroned in the control center of his volcanic hideout in Japan in an oversized G-Plan 6250 swivel chair – power-conscious, perceptive, untouchable. Don Corleone from The Godfather sits behind a massive wooden table, surrounded by heavy leather armchairs – a symbol of tradition and stability. And Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, lives in a sterile, hypermodern penthouse – the antithesis of creativity and emotion.

And you? What does your personal "film set" look like?

Perhaps your personality is reflected in a bright, tidy room dominated by clean lines and smooth surfaces; every piece has its place, nothing distracts – order reigns here, and every object is the expression of a well-thought-out aesthetic. Or do you feel more at home in a dark, atmospheric ambiance ? A deep, black leather sofa that you sink into when you sit down, a heavy wooden table, a cigar holder on the sideboard, and a glass of red wine shimmering softly in the candlelight. Or are you someone whose home is a brightly colored collage of life? The walls are covered in paintings, a fabric sofa in the middle, with colorful blankets that seem to be thrown on top of each other at random, and somewhere in between all of this, an easel with a half-finished painting.
