The Advent calendar is almost empty, the Christmas markets are slowly starting to dismantle. And perhaps the first relatives are already arriving, and preparations for the holidays are in full swing.

Christmas means something different to everyone. Many associate it with family and happy childhood memories. In all cases, it's a sensory celebration: it's about hearty food, colorful gift wrapping, bright decorations, the crunch of snow underfoot, the crackling of the fireplace, and the smell of mulled wine, oranges, and cinnamon.

The best thing about Christmas: Regardless of whether it's family or friends, religious or not, people come together and have a good time together.
And there's something for everyone: The ultimate Christmas fan can play Christmas playlists all day, paint snowmen on the windows with artificial snow, and bake one tray of cookies after another.
However, the total Christmas Grinch, who has avoided the hustle and bustle in the city center and the same old songs on the radio in recent weeks, will hardly be able to close his heart to a festive roast with brown sauce or the sparkle in children's eyes when unwrapping presents.

Beautiful gifts are lovely. But what I find most important is taking a moment to appreciate what I truly have: the people I like and all the good things that surround me.
Perhaps it's especially lovely in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, surrounded by family. But you can also pause for a moment of quiet reflection, independent of visitors, roasts, and presents, and look back on what went well personally in 2025 and what you're grateful for. I usually notice something positive that had completely slipped my mind in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
