    De Sede has always been characterized by a manufacturing process that is designed for quality down to the last detail. A special, resource-saving process for cutting leather, strict quality standards and partially hand-made seams promise designer pieces with unique status. At the same time, energy-efficient and energy-saving production is achieved, something that de Sede is also officially committed to.

    Environmental responsibility and sustainability are consciously addressed - this is also reflected in the management certification (1996, 2007 and 2010) for environmentally friendly production according to ISO standard 14001.

    Whether classics from the early days or modern relaxation chairs - the manufacturer today offers models for every taste, while constantly evolving without losing the typical de Sede signature.

    Success story

    When master saddler Ernst Lüthy founded the company in 1962 in the small town of Klingnau in Switzerland, it was a family business that initially specialized in tailor-made leather furniture - made by hand. In 1965, the company was converted into de Sede AG.
    In collaboration with top international designers, unique design creations are created that help to make them cult models. Today, de Sede is one of the leading brand manufacturers of exclusive designer leather furniture with 110 employees who produce more than 11,500 pieces of furniture annually for sale in over 69 countries. The takeover of FSM Franz Sitzmöbel GmbH in 2000 means that FSM furniture is also produced in the de Sede factory.

    The de Sede sofa - premium design for collectors

    Good design lasts a lifetime. This is definitely true for the Swiss manufacturer. It is one of the few brands that still manufactures by hand and sets the highest standards for leather quality and workmanship. This has resulted in and continues to result in great designs and unique creations,
