Seit über 75 Jahren baut W.SCHILLIG im oberfränkischen Ebersdorf Polstermöbel, und die daily dreams ist innerhalb dieses Programms die Antwort auf die Frage, wie eine Liege aussieht, die nicht nach Möbelhaus aussieht. Die Silhouette schwingt sanft von der hohen Rückenlehne über die Sitzmulde bis in die lange, ansteigende Beinauflage — eine durchgehende Welle ohne harte Kante. Das marineblaue Glattleder legt sich locker über die Kammerkissen-Polsterung und bildet die weiche Fältelung, die dieser Bauart ihren Charakter gibt.

Getragen wird das Ganze von einem verchromten Rundrohr-Kufengestell, das in zwei weiten Bögen unter dem Korpus durchläuft und ihn frei über dem Boden hält. Genau dieser Kontrast macht die Liege aus: unten die kühle, filigrane Linie aus Metall, darüber das schwere, weiche Polster. Weil das Gestell an keiner Stelle mit dem Boden verwächst, wirkt die Liege trotz ihrer Länge leicht — und lässt sich frei im Raum stellen, ohne eine Rückseite zu haben.
