The Barcelona Chair is one of the most famous furniture classics of the 20th century. Designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich for the German Pavilion at the Barcelona World Exhibition, it is considered the epitome of Bauhaus modernism and is still produced today as an original by Knoll.

The characteristic Chesterfield button tufting in a square grid underscores the chair's clear, cubic design language. In this version, the seat is upholstered in smooth black leather and tensioned on leather straps. The cantilevered, chrome-plated steel frame in its characteristic X-shape supports the seat weightlessly, lending the chair its unmistakable, timeless elegance.

Modern Always - that's Knoll. Since 1938, the label has been creating workplace and home furnishings that inspire, evolve and endure. Knoll consciously uses modern design to connect people with their work, their lives and their world. Combined with sustainable commitment, Knoll has created a unique portfolio of well thought-out living products that have received great international recognition.
