This three-seater sofa from Swiss manufacturer de Sede consistently focuses on reduction: no armrests, no visible construction, just a continuous seat in light grey smooth leather. What carries the design are the back cushions—they are pulled up at the outer edges, forming a wavy top edge that softens the strict basic shape. This silhouette is the actual design feature and the reason why the sofa also works well from behind.
The body is supported by flat, angled metal feet that extend far forwards and backwards, visibly lifting the structure off the floor.
The backrests are the functional part of this sofa: they can be adjusted in depth and inclination and can also be rotated individually. This allows you to decide how deeply you sit—further forward for upright support, further back for a loungy position with a long seat. Because each backrest is independently movable, no one has to adjust to the rest of the group.
